With over 15 years of experience in counseling young children and adolescents in schools, Keonsha decided to expand her reach in helping others beyond the academic setting by serving others through private practice. She experiences great joy in helping individuals navigate life, despite the obstacles, and work to become their best self.
Keonsha believes that every individual has the capacity to achieve their desired potential if given the support they need to become their best, whole self, despite their personal or environmental obstacles. To help clients address their concerns in ways that best fit their needs, Keonsha uses an integrative approach to therapy including cognitive behavioral, solution-focused, dialectical behavior, and acceptance & commitment therapies, as well as motivational interviewing and mindfulness. She has helped individuals navigate challenges including but not limited to anxiety, depression, gender identity, non-suicidal self-injury, suicidal ideation, anger, autism spectrum disorders, behavior disorders, social interaction, divorce, academic struggles, family conflict, death/grief, and trauma.
"Life does not always go as planned, but we always have the ability to make a choice. The hope is that we emerge from its challenges with more clarity, self awareness, and tools to help us get better and better every time."
